Prudence (FR)

After more than ten years making her mark as part of the duo The Dø, Olivia Merilahti embarks on her first solo musical adventure through Prudence, her otherworldly alter ego. A new direction that took its time to emerge, authentic and irresistible, now born as a dual superhero figure. This Prudence, whose freedom allows Olivia’s songwriting to enter another sphere, is where boundaries finally crack, letting her own light shine through.

Prudence, supported by a diverse team of collaborators (Xavier from Justice, Surkin, and others), released her debut album, Beginnings, fueled by a love for pop in all its forms, tinged with science fiction. Influences range from pioneers of electronic music, Suzanne Ciani foremost among them, to Kraftwerk, Sia, and Drake, as well as the film scores of Hans Zimmer, notably Interstellar. Prudence moves seamlessly between city and sky, urban and celestial.
