MNNQNS (FR)

Silent since the end of BODY NEGATIVE’s marathon tour (which reached 200 shows before being cut short in 2020) and the subsequent release of a collaboration EP (DEVIANT BY EGO), MNNQNS now unveils FULL CIRCLE BACK, the first single from a new album, accompanied by a European tour.

A clear testament to the evolution of MNNQNS’ sound, refined with Jolyon Thomas in London (Slaves, Royal Blood, Ariel Pink) and mastered by Miles Showell (Abbey Road), Full Circle Back introduces analog synthesizers intertwined with the band’s guitars, all built in-house at their new Rouen base, Chien Méchant (studio, exhibition space, and concert venue).

Adrian on Full Circle Back:
“Full Circle Back represents a new beginning for us, a sort of exit door from two challenging years on many levels. The lyrics can be seen as a response to what we’ve written before, particularly about the anxiety of time slipping away; this time the perspective is calmer, more contemplative. Musically, the track also marks a milestone for us, with the prominent use of analog synths and organs shaping the song from start to finish, while the bass and drums create a highway that leaves space for keyboard effects and glides. It is also the first time a song felt like an obvious choice for all four of us, as if we had just checked a box on our shared checklist.”
