Kids Return (FR)
Kids Return is, first and foremost, a great story of friendship that began in childhood between Adrien Rozé and Clément Savoye. Their songs were born between their small Paris studio and a house perched high in the Pyrenees mountains, later arranged with a string quartet in the countryside. From this journey emerged a dreamlike, sensory kind of music – a cry for escapism and imagination. Music that feels timeless.
Forever Melodies, Kids Return’s debut album, follows their first four singles released between 2021 and today (Melody, Our Love, Orange Mountains, Forever). The album is a collection of ten carefully crafted pop tracks (“Some bands say, ‘We wrote 35 songs to keep 8’; we wrote 10 songs to keep 10”) – imbued with nostalgia, disarming sincerity (breakups, stories of friendship, love, physical anxiety, the passage into adulthood), and a boundless love for melodic craftsmanship. The album unfolds like an intimate journey through space and time – the movie of their lives.
Supported by Daft Punk, Kids Return belong to the neo-French touch movement, following in the footsteps of Air, Phoenix, and Daft Punk before them.
