Great Mountain Fire (BE)

GREAT MOUNTAIN FIRE is a pop band rooted in the indie rock culture of the ’90s, but infused with groovy beats tinged with soul and afro-funk: warm, fluid, and irresistibly danceable. Their songs are at once melodic, ethereal, and groove-driven.

Based in Brussels, the band consists of five childhood friends who have been playing together since their pre-teen years: Thomas de Hemptinne (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Antoine Bonan (guitar, keyboards, vocals), Alexis Den Doncker (bass, vocals), Tommy Onraedt (synthesizers), and Morgan Vigilante (drums, percussion).

Having released three albums – Canopy (2011), Sundogs (2015), and Movements (2020) – the band continues to chase the magic of the moment, both on stage and in the studio. Their music transcends genres, capturing that indescribable feeling that makes anyone, from metalheads to rappers, sing along and whisper in their ear that the night may just last a little longer.
