Choses Sauvages (CA)
It’s impossible to stay still during a Choses Sauvages show. In fact, the band led by the incandescent Félix Bélisle makes it a point to set fire to any stage they step on. Anyone who has attended a concert by the Montreal quintet can confirm this. For the show accompanying their second album, 𝘊𝘏𝘖𝘚𝘌𝘚 𝘚𝘈𝘜𝘝𝘈𝘎𝘌𝘚 𝘐𝘐, the band cranks the energy up another notch. Fans are in for an electrifying, heart-pounding, and more danceable-than-ever performance.
After an explosive run on nearly every festival and venue in the province; a sold-out MTelus on September 7 for Choses Sauvages II and a packed Club Soda in 2019 for their Rewerk concert; and a tour with Half Moon Run, the stage beasts of Choses Sauvages present their new material co-produced with collaborator Samuel Gemme. Their creative energy has been transformed into twelve tracks on their second album, Choses Sauvages II, released on Audiogram.
For two years, the Montreal quintet meticulously honed a new sound: sleeker, electro, and nu-disco, yet still rebellious, groovy, and danceable. This new offering follows their self-titled debut album, released in September 2018 and produced by Emmanuel Éthier, which propelled them to the top of radio charts with tracks like the electrifying La valse des trottoirs and the languid Ariane. Not to mention the explosive hits Apophis and L’or et l’argent, released in the meantime.
