Chanceko (FR)

They say we all have a voice in our heads. What does yours tell you? By unveiling his first album, Chanceko invites us to listen to the music playing in his own.

Since his first EP in 2017, Chanceko has stood out with modern music and a formidable sense of melody. Productive from the start, he gradually distanced himself from – and eventually cut off – the media after his project Malaboy in 2021 and his latest release R 3 P L A Y in 2022. A necessary period of reflection and reinvention, a journey recounted throughout this album.

La voix dans ma tête (“The Voice in My Head”) is a story. But above all, it is about characters. It captures the meeting of Chance and Lucky: two sides of the same artist, narrating this journey and emergence from the desert. When Chance confesses doubts, Lucky bursts with confidence and extravagance. This duality is highlighted through custom styling pieces and a color palette of red, black, and green. Alongside them, the voices of featured artists (Khali, Josman, and Jazzy Bazz) play a vital role: that of messengers.

La voix dans ma tête is an evolution. Not just the one Chance experiences through Lucky, but also Chanceko’s growth as an artist. Fully involved – from composition to mixing, production, styling, and photography – he is the true conductor of his work. His music is a meeting place, where grandiose violin arrangements, the most modern synth loops, and a scratch sequence coexist naturally. A meeting between him and the musicians who brought his ideas to life. But most importantly, a meeting with himself: an artist finally comfortable with the richness of his influences, capable of delivering a total, personal, coherent, and ambitious musical work.

What the voice in his head told him was that he had to do what he wanted, not what his era – or anyone else – expected. Can you hear it? It’s the voice in yours. And what it tells you is not to miss your chance to experience the world of Chanceko.
